Season of Farewell at Houston symphony

Hans Graf Farewell Houston SymphonyCelebrating the season and the Farewell of Hans Gref, director at the Houston symphony many events have been scheduled. The symphony is combining family concerts, classical pops and specials throughout the season of 2012-2013.

This is a memorable event as the twelve years of Gref’s leadership will be changed. Stepping down after serving for the longest period with the organization, the Houston symphony orchestra members and the special guests will be honoring the Maestro. Performances of the most revered musical genre and composers will be seen. A team of Houston symphony chorus of 200 members will be seen performing with other honored guests and artists.

You are welcome to see the Brahms Festival, Lang Lang return, Berg’s opera and the other conductors mesmerizing the audiences, appearances can be checked in the listings. This is all for celebrating the successful tenure of Hans Gref in 2013.

There are many special performances lined up that have significance to the retiring Director. Just four days ahead of the 9/11 attack Graf begun his tenure with Houston symphony in 2001. The achievements of this maestro are incomparable and list will extend considerably in count.

The work on innovation along the different echelons of music is what connects Graf to the symphony strongly. Interactive approach towards different genre of music and classical notes has been popular. There is variety of Houston symphony pops lined up for 2012-2013. Audiences will enjoy the Sixties Hits, Jersey Boys, Songs of Simon and Garfunke.
