Houston symphony Never Stops Creating Music
There are very few organizations as unique as the Houston symphony working over more than a century towards entertaining people. The eminent leaders have dedicated their time and efforts to making this a successful place. Director Hans Graf has been handling the podium since September 2001 and this Maestro of music has shown Houston different facets of music.
Orchestra and the American love of music have been evident in the 1940s. There have been the likes of Maestro Kurtz and Hoffman dealing with the Houston symphony orchestra since the past 30 years. There have been lush and some of the romantic style music in the time of Sir John Barbirolli.
After the Houston symphony moved to Jones Hall from the old premises, there have been 170 annual concerts for Houstonians since 1966. This is not any less indicative of how the centre of arts is being entertaining people with their international recognized music. There are more than 40,000 different students working on their education program at the concerts during summer and other times of the year.
Community connections and the Houston symphony chorus, recent auditions and the increasing interest of music industry in picking up talents just multiplies the opportunities. Houstonians get to meet some of the most renowned music legends apart from the budding performers, soloists, recitalists, lecturers, masters giving music lessons and students.
