Rains Bring Heat Relief and Tornados to City – Houston news
In the northwest and northern Houston community has seen the highest rainfall this time. There are areas like Memorial Villages which normally get 1.5 inch of downpour now recorded to have heaviest rains according to Houston weather news. The bad weather in Houston was welcome mainly for the rains. West University recorded to have half an inch of rainfall and weather bug indicates there will be more rains.
On Wednesday Houston had heavy spells of rain as winds rolled across the city flooding the local area with two tornadoes. There were numerous storms and serious injuries also were indicated.
There are many storms doused in different parts of the country along Austin and San Antonio. The impact of all this heavy rainfall is too early to predict as per the Houston local news. Gradually there are news about the damage and possible casualties in the tornadoes.
The average rain was 1-4 inches and this was probably the highest recorded so far. There were few power lines that downed and shopping centre roof. Small tornadoes were indicated which caused damage. Grimes, Madison, Burleson, Pearland and Walker areas did get reports of damage from the tornado and rainfall.
Houston daily news also included traffic issues on the interstate 45 and southbound lane did get some water issues. Fast thunderstorms did cause traffic problems in different parts of Houston.
Power outages also were reported in Houston news across Houston Independent School District and students go to be home as multiple activities were cancelled. Moreover 18 flights were delayed due to these storms.
