2012 Brings Business for Houston music Bands

Houston music eventAs the New Year began, turning around to speculate music events of 2011 stalls to make way for interesting Houston music concerts and festivals in the New Year. Exciting musical year lies ahead and refreshing music from all different projects are eyed by producers and many venues, tickets and schedules get booked straight. There are promising music acts and some interesting quirky projects on the side. Some Houston bands you can expect to bring soulful music to city are mentioned.

Nosaprise, known for the Book of the Dead Vol. 1 has a unique number “concept mixtape” and other fascinating interpretations by the artist. There is a full length album releasing in October.

Southern Backtones reported finishing their new record, labeled as ‘La Vie En Noir’. The release is scheduled on Feb 11, as a big Houston music event. The featured performances by Johnny Falstaff, Craig Kinsey and John Evans, apart from the big ‘Honky Tonk Blood’ screening are all part of the musical day. Tribute to Elvis Presley and David Bowie by Kinsey and Backtones is also scheduled on Friday at the 2706 White Oak, Fitzgerald’s.

On 31st Jan, The Maybe Laser is releasing as part of Houston music upcoming. This 14 song LP could be just the first big release by Bill Curtner and Jef Rouner. The tracks are varied and they range from hip hop, blues to dance and indie themes as well. The videos are also being issued for “The Annexation of Puerto Rico” and “Alive”.

Apart from the regular Houston music festival each year, you can look forward to some rock and pop concerts. The release of new albums by blue and rock band is under work. You can expect Winter Wallace to come up with ambient vocals blended with soulful melodies by March.

Houston music studios are jam packed with activities lately. Expect releases by Guy Schwartz, Fat Tony, The Sufferers, Cindy Pruitt and Skruncha-roo.

If you think it all ends here, there is a lot more going on in the music scene in Houston. Emotion provoking songs, fully energized concerts and beats that will keep your feet moving is the least Houstonians can expect.
