Houston Aeros the Final Game!
Friday saw the shocking wild waivers for Colton Gillies and the clearing plans turned into a new twist when Columbus Blue Jackets actually saved him from AHL. Gillies didn’t wait to get the clean chit from Houston Aeros and instead took the opportunity. This player at an age of 22 is still maturing his tactics and the game is always at the professional level.
The passion this player shows for the game is extreme and the skill level certainly matters when you are in the winning team. On the weekend Houston Aeros tickets were all gone and the team was 3 for 4 with a difficult game, then few hours put them in a tie, more of three way with OKC as well as Abbotsford. There have been other teams playing for the prize.
Houston may get back to their third position depending on the outcome of Abby on the Monday game.
It is always amazing to watch the final matches where same division is taking leads like the one seen currently.
Pieora scored the first goal as the boys split on the weekend, but Houston Aeros did strike back with their 2 goals then strongly held score till the end of game. More scores were seen as power play from Penner, Fontaine, DiSalvatore and then Broda. Even Houston Aeros new player, Radja scored his first point in the game to become the third star.
There was a different side to the story on Saturday. The Houston Aeros were not in good place as they were down 2-0 and showed up in the third place. Keep your tabs on the upcoming Houston Aeros schedule to see the next games.
