Houston Aeros Crushed In Shootout!
Scoring twice in the American Hockey League(AHL), Casey Wellman and Marco Scandella managed to score a 4-2 in the shootout against San Antonio Rampage to lose the game at the Toyota Center on Sunday.
The assists by Justin Fontaine and Matt Hackett did make 28 saves for Houston, standing at 21-9-3-9 to reach the second place in AHL across the West Division getting the shootout point. Houston Aeros just went back five points to be the top 1, beaten by Oklahoma City.
Houston has experienced around seven consecutive different games where one goal determined the winning and the losing aspect of the game. The surprising element about Houston Aeros games has been that most games required shootout or overtime for the final decision. The Aeros have gained a standing point after those six games.
The shootout and the scores by Kris Foucault and Wellman were turning point of the game. The goal of the season was played by Matsumoto at 4:11 and then power play made the scene totally enthralling with a tie at 11:17 with 3-3. The Houston Aeros were in the lead when Wellman helped to score 1-0 lead point but with a tie by Bill Thomas the game saw change of winning sides.
